Summer Fun!

We've been having so much fun this summer hanging out with friends and playing in the pool! We haven't had a whole lot of time for bentos lately! But here are a few!

Here she has a simple lunch of a frog prince PB/Nutella sandwich (with super cool icing eyes from my good friend Gina!!!) Some carrots, chips and a few turkey skewers that I wound up eating! :) It is in a divided container from Target that a friend told me about!



Tomorrow's pool lunch! Half PB/half Nutella sandwich on a sandwich thin, carrots, Annie's cheddar bunnies and some star cookies that I got at The Fresh Market!

Fit for a princess

It's been a long weekend! Taia's birthday party is past us so maybe I can get back in to bento-ing!

Here she has a PB crown sandwich with Florida's Natural fruit "gems," wheat thins cinnamon sticks and strawberries!

We've gone dye-free and it's actually a lot harder (for me) to make bentos cute without the icing accents! I'm getting used to it though! I think I will have to cheat and still use icing eyes!!!

It's been a while!

Taia's 4th birthday is this Saturday! I've been busy getting ready and have been slacking on bentos! She's been getting chicken nuggets for a week and LOVED it! :) But tomorrow she's getting some Spring shaped cheese and crackers with broccoli and carrot sticks!

Spring Break Picnic!

It's spring break week! Today we went to a picnic and play event with our local playgroup! Of course we needed bentos! She has a sort of swamp themed bento and I have a boring mommy bento! ;)

Taia has :
-Watermelon with a swamp creature -ish looking snack pick
-A crocodile/alligator cheese creature with an icing eye
-Hot dog slices in a turtle silicone cup with another swamp creature pick
- Pretzel Crisps

I had a:
-Chipolte Gouda and Jalapeno Ham sandwich (Oh ya- it was amazing)
-Pickles and tomatoes
-Watermelon
I thought about cutting mine into fun shapes but thought
the other moms might give me a hard time! ;)
