We've spent the entire weekend cleaning up the yard and I'm beat!
So here's a simple lunch for tomorrow!

-Carrots (under the strawberries)
-Chicken Nuggets
-Princess Yogurt (not pictured-her new obsession)

The yogurt isn't very "bento" but she loves it and it's good for her!
So I'll stick one in her lunch bag for fruit dipping!

She picked:
-A Butterfly cutter for the sandwich (they're her favorite!)
-Pig cheese (it's embarrassing BC we're out of the good cheese so I hid it! :)
-Cheese sticks dotted with heart candy
- Carrot chips

Silly Face!

I have a ton to do before camping out at our local elementary school tonight! So here's a quick silly sandwich, butterfly shaped cheese with some carrot chips and grapes!

We live in a first come, first serve public pre-k district and people take it seriously! I get to start the camp-out at approximately 10pm tonight so wish me luck!! There are only 40 spots available and we want one of them!!!

I found a bag of Bug cookies in the pantry so decided she needed a bug bento!
And frankly I was bored with all of the green! I couldn't decide if I liked the plastic spider ring or not.... Taia thought it was a nice touch! I took pictures with and without it..

She has:
-Butterfly PB sandwich
-Bug cookies
-Bunny egg (not really with the theme but she's on an egg kick!)
-Grapes with a flower pick

Soccer Dinner Bento!

Tonight when I told Taia that I was going to make her a Soccer Bento she misunderstood....
So I wound up making something that sort of looks like a soccer ball.... What I meant was I was going to make her a bento to eat before soccer.... whoops!

-Peanut butter sandwich made with my new Williams Sonoma cutter. (LOVE IT!)
I have no idea how to draw a soccer ball so I drew what was supposed to be some pentagons with a few lines....
-Chocolate coin for a treat
-Grapes with a flower pick and some grass need for the baran but worked!
-Sports themed Panda cookies
-Cheese flowers (with lots of cheese scraps underneath. ;) She doesn't care if they aren't pretty! )

Sorry for the missing bite! The original pictures got deletes and I had to retake them after she had started eating!

Who's sick of the green?

So- who's ready for me to stop posting St. Pat's bentos? ;) Here she has:
-PB Sandwich on Sandwich Thins (her personal favorite)
- Cheese flowers (only because I don't have a smaller shamrock cutter! )
- Grapes on St. Pat's picks
-Cinnamon Raisin Bagel Crisps
-Babybel Cheese
-A St. Pat's cupcake that Taia made and decorated all by herself!!!
She'll be very excited to see that in her lunch!

Two Bentos in one day!

This is my first dinner time bento.... hopefully it goes over well! Taia always ends up starving right in the middle of her Tuesday night dance class. So tonight I'm going to try letting her eat on the way! Hopefully it will help her stay focused during class! All I have to do is heat up the nuggets right before we leave! If this works out, I will start doing dinner bentos before all of her extra-curricular activites. She is currently participating in dance, soccer and tee-ball! Yikes! Busy busy!

Back to the bento- Here we have:
-Apple slices soaked in orange juice
-Cheese cut into flowers
- Her name in fruit leather
-Chicken Nuggets

Here's tomorrow's lunch! I guess it is sort of St. Patrick's Day themed. ;)
-Apples soaked in Orange Juice
-PB sandwich on a sandwich thin
- Shamrock shaped cheese
-Ham on a St. Pat's pick

St Patrick's Day Bento

St. Patrick's Day is one of our favorite holidays! You'll be seeing a lot of green here this month!

Here we have:

-Half of a PB sandwich on a sandwich thin
-Marbled Cheese Shamrock
-Grapes on St. Pat's Picks
-A Bed of Shredded Carrots
-Gold Coin as a Leprechaun treat!

Some random bentos to kick things off!

I wanted to start a blog to share a few of my bento creations! A good friend of mine introduced me to bento not long ago and I've since become OBSESSED! My almost 4 year old has gone from eating nothing but chicken and fries to loving fruits and veggies and trying all sorts of new food!
Bento has been a life saver for us! Hope you enjoy!

I made this on a particularly warm day in February! We were craving Springtime!
She has a butterfly peanut butter sandwich colored with edible markers.
It has Wilton icing eyes and carrot antennae! The flowers are marbled cheese from
the deli counter. ( A Genius suggestion by Gina Harper!) There are also a few broccoli "trees" tossed in!

This little Caterpillar is made of food coloring tinted rice.
He has candy eyes and carrots for a mouth and antennae!
Taia also has some baby tomatoes and cheese cubes with a cute giraffe pick!

Here she has a peanut butter fishy sandwich colored with edible food markers with an icing eye on a bed of carrot "seaweed." I was out of shredded lettuce! :) There are also some goldfish, cheese cubes on fish picks, and tomatoes on fish picks!
